Cast Iron Family Multi Tawa – 28cm, Dual Handle

Using two cloth pads on the loop handles makes moving the hot tawa very safe.

Integrated loop handles are cast as one piece with the body. No rivets or screws that can ever come loose.

Dark, smooth factory seasoning layer is ready for action.

Fits right into my dish drying rack and cupboard. Single handle tawas always got jammed in the cabinet.

Gets dosas very crisp. Needs light oiling before each batter spread for smooth release.

No high rims so spatula slides easily under dosas and rotis. Very functional layout.

Two-handed lifting prevents slipping. Good ergonomic design for a heavy iron pan.

Good size for daily chapatis and dosas. Weighs 2.2kg as stated. A bit heavy for single-hand cleaning, but manageable with two hands.

Fits full sized dosas easily. Heat reaches the edges well once preheated for 3-4 minutes.

I purchased this 2.2kg dual handle multi tawa expecting easy non-stick performance out of the box as advertised for pre-seasoned cast iron. Unfortunately, my dosas stuck badly on the first few tries and tore when flipping. It is also quite heavy to handle during washing, and having to dry and oil it after every single use is inconvenient for our fast morning routine. The dual handles are solid, but overall this tawa didn't suit our cooking habits.

Comfortable loop shape accommodates oven mitts easily.

Weight is distributed evenly across the circular body and side handles.

Happy to eliminate non-stick cookware from our home. Cooking on natural iron is healthier and tastes better.

Simple hand washing routine maintains non-stick surface.

Cook on medium flame once preheated. Saves fuel while cooking.

Did a quick rinse and warm-up with oil as instructed. Cooked chapatis on day one with zero sticking issues.

Stuffed parathas cook evenly without raw spots on the edges. Very dependable.

No lengthy initial seasoning process required. Ready out of box.

Made paper dosas for guests this morning. Everyone complimented how thin and crispy they were. Excellent griddle!

Our breakfast routine is so much faster now. Batter spreads smoothly on the 28cm surface and dosas come out golden and crispy with minimal oil.

Fits in my cabinet easily. 4 stars because handles get hot on gas, but carrying balance is much better than single handle pans.

The flat surface and dual handle design are nice, and it works okay on induction. But maintaining cast iron — hand washing immediately, drying on flame, and applying oil every single day — is proving to be a bit tedious for my busy schedule. Quality is decent, but be ready for the care routine.

Cooking with regular oil naturally re-seasons the surface after every use.

Each cooking session adds to the natural patina and non-stick quality.

Once preheated on medium flame, I can turn down the gas and it still maintains high cooking heat.

Gifted one to my sister for her housewarming. She loves the dual handles and how easily dosas turn out.

If you have limited stovetop space, the compact dual handles don't block adjacent burners.

Consistent heat across all 28cm ensures uniform cooking.

Feels substantial and high quality. Sits stably on any burner.

Came pre-seasoned, but for paper-thin dosas I recommend doing 1-2 extra oil seasoning rounds at home. Once done, it performs wonderfully.

Thick cast iron base stays completely flat even at high cooking temperatures.

The cooking quality for rotis is good and heat distribution is fine. However, at 2.2 kg it feels quite heavy for daily washing and handling. Also, the dual loop handles get very hot so you always need thick potholders. It's a solid tawa, but require more effort than non-stick.
