Description
Care & Seasoning

Before your first use

  • Every piece ships pre-seasoned with vegetable oil, but a quick re-season before first use builds an even stronger, more durable surface
  • Rinse with warm water only — no soap needed on the very first wash
  • Dry completely, then rub a thin, even layer of cooking oil over the entire surface
  • Heat on low-medium flame for 5 minutes, let cool, and it's ready to cook

After every use

  • Clean with warm water and a soft brush or sponge — avoid soap and steel wool, which strip the seasoning
  • Dry immediately and thoroughly on low heat to prevent rust — cast iron should never air-dry
  • Apply a light coat of oil while the pan is still slightly warm, then wipe off any excess

Building seasoning over time

  • Seasoning strengthens with regular use — the more you cook, the more naturally non-stick it becomes
  • If food starts sticking or the surface looks dull or patchy, simply repeat the seasoning steps above
  • A little rust on the surface is normal and easily fixed — scrub gently, dry fully, and re-season; it doesn't mean the pan is damaged

Good to know

  • Avoid cooking highly acidic foods (like tomato-heavy curries) for extended periods until seasoning is well-built up
  • Store in a dry place; a thin film of oil before storing prevents moisture buildup

The perfect morning egg pan — nothing else comes close

I've been using this mini skillet every single morning for about two months now and I genuinely look forward to breakfast because of it. Two eggs, a little butter, low flame — they slide right out onto the plate. The size is exactly right for a single-serving breakfast. I used to use a large non-stick pan for eggs and half the pan was always empty. This 15cm skillet is built for exactly this purpose. Absolutely love it.

Stove to table in one pan — sizzler vibes at home

I serve everything directly in this skillet now. Made a mushroom sizzler last weekend and brought it straight to the dining table still sizzling. My family was thoroughly impressed. The pan stays hot for a surprisingly long time — food was still warm well into the meal. The pour spouts on either side are a clever touch, makes draining excess oil so easy. Best small pan I've owned.

Excellent skillet — took one week to get used to it

The quality of this mini skillet is genuinely impressive — solid casting, good weight, nice pre-seasoning, and the pour spouts are very useful. My only reason for not giving five stars is the first week, which required a bit of patience. I used it for eggs the first morning and they stuck a little despite following the instructions. By day four, after a few seasoning cycles and oil-heavy cooking, it was noticeably better. By the end of week two, eggs slide out perfectly. If you're new to cast iron, just know there's a short learning period and it's completely worth it once you get past it.

Incredibly well-made for the price

I was honestly not expecting this level of quality at this price point. The cast iron is solid and uniform, the handle is comfortable to grip, and the pre-seasoning was already quite good out of the box. Did the initial re-season as advised and it was ready to use. Made a quick garlic butter prawn in it and the result was restaurant-level. This little pan punches way above its weight.

Bought it for eggs, now use it for everything small

Started buying this just for frying eggs without oil sticking. Three months later, I use it for toasting nuts, making a quick omelette, heating up leftover food, making a single portion of upma, searing a small piece of chicken. It's the pan I reach for most often in my kitchen now. Compact, easy to handle, cleans up simply. Highly recommend.

Great quality, wish it had a slightly deeper profile

I bought this for eggs and general single-serve cooking and it does all of that very well. The build quality is excellent — solid, well-seasoned, easy to use. My one feedback is that the profile is slightly shallower than I expected from the photos. For eggs and sautéing it's fine, but when I tried making a small curry-style dish, the liquid came close to the rim. A slightly deeper design would make it even more versatile. That said, for its intended use — eggs, sautéing, sizzlers — it's excellent. Four stars for the shallow depth, five stars for everything else.

The pour spouts are genuinely useful — not just decorative

I've seen pans with pour spouts before that were too shallow to actually use. The spouts on this mini skillet are deep and well-positioned — I can tilt the pan and the oil flows cleanly without dribbling all over. Really useful for draining excess ghee after roasting something. Thought it was a gimmick at first, now I use it every time. Smart design detail.

Perfect for solo cooking — no wasted food or energy

I live alone and cooking in large pans always meant either wasting food or over-cooking. This 15cm skillet is sized perfectly for one person. One portion of sabzi, one omelette, one serving of stir-fried vegetables — nothing wasted. And because cast iron holds heat so well, I use less gas since I can turn the flame off slightly early and let the retained heat finish the cooking.

Very good product — packaging could be improved

The skillet itself is excellent — heavy, well-made, cooks beautifully. I've been using it for about six weeks for eggs and quick sautés and the results have been consistently good. The seasoning has built up nicely and the surface is becoming more non-stick every week. My only feedback is on the packaging — the box was a little scuffed and the cushioning inside could have been better for an item this heavy. The product arrived undamaged, but it felt like it survived in spite of the packaging, not because of it. Evvolife should invest in slightly more robust packaging for cast iron items. On the product itself — four stars because I'm being honest, but it's very close to five.

Gifted it and immediately bought one for myself

I ordered this as part of a gift set for my brother who recently moved into his own apartment. He called me three days after delivery to say it was the most used item in his kitchen. I immediately ordered one for myself. The quality is genuinely excellent — solid, well-seasoned, and the handle design is comfortable and safe. This is a gift that people actually use, not just admire.

Used it on induction and it works perfectly

All my cooking is on an induction cooktop. The skillet sits flat with no wobble and heats up within a minute or two on medium setting. Made eggs the first morning — no sticking, no fussing. I've since used it for sautéing vegetables and toasting spices. Induction-compatible cast iron that actually works is hard to find at this price. Very happy with this purchase.

The hanging loop is a small detail that makes a big difference

I have limited counter space and storage is always a challenge. The loop at the end of the handle means I can hang this skillet on a hook and it takes up zero drawer or shelf space. It hangs beautifully and is always within reach. Such a small design detail but it genuinely changed how I organise my kitchen. Plus the pan itself is excellent — seasons beautifully and cooks evenly.

This is what weekend breakfast looks like now

Saturday and Sunday mornings in our house are now a ritual — I make egg dishes in this skillet and bring them to the table still in the pan. My husband photographs every breakfast and posts it because the pan looks so good. But beyond aesthetics, the eggs are perfectly cooked — crispy edges, soft yolk — every time. The heat control on cast iron is wonderful once you get used to it.

Pre-seasoning quality is genuinely impressive

A lot of cast iron pans arrive with a thin, rushed factory seasoning that needs a lot of work before they're usable. This one was different. The pre-seasoning was uniform and solid — I followed the initial re-season instructions anyway but honestly could have skipped it. First use was making a single-serve paneer tikka and it came out clean. No sticking, no metallic taste. Proper pre-seasoning job.

Zero Teflon, zero worry — perfect for my toddler's food

Since becoming a parent I've become very particular about what I cook my daughter's food in. Teflon pans always made me nervous — especially after the coating started showing wear. This mini skillet is 100% chemical-free — just iron and vegetable oil seasoning. I make her small portions of sabzi and eggs in it and feel completely confident. No flaking, no chemicals. Just food.

Brilliant for making a quick tadka in small quantities

I use this specifically for tadka — the small size means I only need a tiny amount of oil, the heat comes up fast, and the mustard seeds and curry leaves crackle perfectly. I then pour it directly into the dal or sabzi using the pour spout. No spills, no fuss. A small pan that does this job is surprisingly hard to find in the right size. This one nails it.

Works on gas and in the oven — truly versatile

I started a shakshuka on the gas stovetop in this skillet and finished it in the oven to set the eggs. The cast iron went from stovetop to 200°C oven with zero issues. Shakshuka served directly in the skillet at the table looked stunning. This kind of versatility from a small pan is incredibly useful and something a non-stick can never do. Delighted with this purchase.

The long handle is well-designed — hand stays cool

When I cook on high flame I worry about the handle getting too hot. The long handle on this skillet keeps your hand far enough from the pan body that it doesn't get uncomfortably hot during normal stovetop use. The contoured shape also fits naturally in the hand. Combined with the light 1kg weight, it's very easy to manoeuvre even when the pan has food in it. Excellent ergonomics.

Toasted nuts and spices come out perfectly every time

I cook a lot of South Indian and Chettinad food that requires dry-roasting spices and nuts before grinding. This mini skillet is ideal — the 15cm size means spices toast evenly without getting lost in a large pan, the heat is consistent, and the heavy base prevents burning. Pepper, cumin, coriander seeds, peanuts — all come out perfectly toasted with a beautiful aroma. This pan has changed my spice prep.

Great for making small portions of desserts

I tried making a small molten chocolate lava cake in this skillet — started on the gas and finished in the oven. Came out beautifully, with a perfectly set outside and molten centre. Served it directly in the pan at the table and it was a huge hit. The size is exactly right for one or two servings. Never thought a cast iron skillet would become my dessert pan but here we are.

Light enough for daily use, solid enough to last forever

Cast iron usually means heavy and awkward. At 1kg, this mini skillet is the exception. It's light enough to pick up comfortably with one hand but solid enough that you can tell it's built to last. It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap — quite the opposite. The weight is actually reassuring. For a pan you'll use daily, this balance of lightness and solidity is exactly right.

Seasoning improves week by week — remarkable transformation

I've had this skillet for about 10 weeks now and the difference between week one and week ten is remarkable. The surface started out a moderate dark grey and is now a deep, near-black with a slight sheen. Food releases noticeably more easily than in the beginning. This improvement over time is the cast iron experience that nobody fully explains — you have to live it to appreciate it.

Perfect for making single-serve uttapam

I make uttapam regularly and often just for myself. Using the big tawa for a single uttapam was always wasteful — the pan takes forever to heat and most of the surface is unused. This 15cm skillet heats up in under two minutes and is the perfect size for one thick uttapam with onions and tomatoes. Crispy base, soft top, and slides right off when it's done. Brilliant for solo South Indian cooking.

My kids love the sizzler presentation

My kids (9 and 12) are obsessed with the idea of food being served still sizzling at the table. I make their favourite dishes in this skillet — sizzling mushrooms, egg bhurji, garlic sautéed vegetables — and bring it to the table on a wooden board. The theatrical sizzle lasts for a couple of minutes and they love it every time. The food also tastes great, which is the main thing!

Makes the best seared paneer I've ever had at home

I tried searing paneer slices in this skillet with a little butter and the result was incredible — golden, slightly crispy exterior, soft inside. The cast iron gets and stays very hot, which is what you need for a proper sear. My non-stick pan could never achieve this because it can't handle the high heat required. The pour spout was handy for draining excess butter after searing. 10/10.

The 15cm size is exactly right for a single omelette

I've been hunting for a pan the right size for one egg omelette and this is it. Most pans are too large and the egg spreads too thin. This 15cm skillet gives the omelette the right thickness — fluffy in the middle, set on the outside. Once the seasoning built up (about two weeks of daily use), eggs came out without any sticking. Now my morning omelette is genuinely something I enjoy making.

The build quality is outstanding — feels heirloom-quality

When you pick this up you immediately understand that this is a serious piece of cookware. The casting is uniform, there are no rough spots or imperfections on the cooking surface, and the handle feels solid and integral to the pan — not an afterthought. It has the feel of something that will be in the kitchen for decades. My grandmother had cast iron pans like this. I intend to use this the same way.

No more flaking non-stick — my kitchen is safer now

I replaced my last non-stick pan with this skillet and I have zero regrets. I was constantly worried about the non-stick coating flaking into food — especially for eggs where the surface is scraped. This cast iron skillet has nothing to flake. It's iron and oil, that's all. Cooking in it feels safe in a way that non-stick never did. The food also tastes better somehow — richer and more satisfying.
